1. What operating system does the laptop or computer come with?
RentLaptops.com will customize your laptop or PC rental to come to you with whatever operating system you need or want. Generally we install Windows 7 or Windows XP as well as Linux and Mac.

2. Can you pro-rate a rental cost?
No; most rental costs are in 24-hour increments

3. Does a PC rental come with a monitor?
Yes; if you order a desktop it comes with a flat-screen monitor, keyboard, and a mouse

4. Does the laptop come with wireless capabilities?
Yes but you need to ensure your destination is Wireless friendly and has the same capabilities that you need to get on the Internet

5. How quickly can I get rental laptop/PC equipment?
For a certain cost, it can be overnighted to you. This also depends on your location.

6. Do you offer technical support?
Our elite team of customer service managers is readily available to offer our customers the support they need. Questions or concerns regarding the laptop, PC, monitors, printers, camcorders and other audio visual equipment that customers have rented can be immediately addressed by calling (888) 909-2525, extension 202.

7. Does the computer have internet access?
All laptop and PC rentals have Internet access, but you will need to check the location of your business meeting, tradeshow, convention, workshop, conference, etc. to ensure that it is Internet-enabled or even Wi-Fi-enhanced.

8. What is the minimum rental period?
24 hours; max is 31 days unless special arrangements have been made

9. Do you offer insurance? (RENTAL POLICY)
No; you are responsible for the equipment while it’s in your care. You are liable for all damages.

10. What is the process for placing a rental order or how can I get a quote?
It is very easy to get a rental quote – simply fill out the Quote Form to the right and instantly receive an estimated price. You may also call our customer service technicians at (888) 909-2525, extension 202, to speak to a manager about a rental quote.

11. How far before the day I receive my rental equipment is it necessary to place my order for a
laptop or PC rental?


You can call our superior team of customer service managers to rent a laptop, PC, monitor, projector screen, accessory or other audio visual equipment at any time to request a rental; we simply request at least a week’s notice for large rentals (ten or more PCs or laptops) and those that being shipped to Alaska or Hawaii. 12. Can RentLaptops.com provide me with same-day rental service? On what types of equipment?
We do not offer same-day service at this time. We do offer overnight service depending on what location you’re in and what you’re ordering. Call customer service at (888) 909-2525, extension 202 to discuss your options.

13. How do you send me my ordered rental equipment?
Your rental laptops, PCS and other audio visual equipment come via FedEx, the most reliable shipping company in the country. They will arrive in large boxes, supported and protected to prevent damage, with the return shipping labels included (pre-paid).

14. Why does RentLaptops.com deliver rental equipment a day in advance of my order? Am I charged for this even though I did not order it?
We deliver equipment a day in advance so that you have time to familiarize yourself with your rental laptops or PCs before your actual event. We do this as a courtesy – a favor – so that you can ensure your expertise with the equipment and avoid technical flubs the day of your event. You are not charged for this service.

15. How do I go about getting my rental laptop or PC rental back to RentLaptops.com?
When your equipment arrives to you via FedEx, it will contain a pre-paid FedEx shipping label in the box. Simply stick the pre-paid label on the same box the laptop arrived in and drop it at a FedEx location to send back your rental laptops and PCs.

16. What happens if I receive my laptop rental and have trouble? What if there is trouble with my rental equipment or what if I get it and it doesn't work?
If you receive your rental and surprisingly have some sort of tech trouble, simply call our customer service assistance team to get help handling your issue. Most issues that customers seem to think are major are really quite harmless tech “typos” that can be handled in less than five minutes over the phone.

There is no chance that you will receive rental equipment that does not work. We make a point to courtesy-image, sanitize and thoroughly inspect each and every piece of rental equipment that leaves our warehouse before it ships. There is zero chance of you receiving equipment that is broken and/or faulty.

17. How do I know what type of laptop rental, PC rental or other AV equipment is the best or the right
type for my event or for what I need it for?

There are detailed product descriptions available under a tab for each piece of laptop, PC and other equipment. This should give you technical specifications that may help you decide if it’s the right piece for your event. Otherwise, please call our customer service managers to receive further detailed information on what laptop, PC, projector, accessory or other piece or AV equipment is best for your type or size of event. 18. How can I change or cancel a rental order? Does RentLaptops.com charge for cancellations?
RentLaptops.com does charge for cancelled orders if they are cancelled within 24 hours of the claimed outward shipping date. To cancel or change an order, simply call our customer service managers at (888) 909-2525, extension 202 and mention that you need to change and/or cancel your rental immediately.

RentLaptops.com delivers laptops, PCs, monitors, accessories, tablets, printers and more all over the United States, including Hawaii and Alaska. We also deliver to Puerto Rico.
